# Update Card Status (Freeze / Unfreeze)

> Temporarily freeze an active card or reactivate a frozen card

Toggle a card between `ACTIVE` and `FROZEN`. Freezing a card immediately prevents any new authorizations or transactions without terminating the card or losing its balance.
